This is one of my first bodies of work involving portraits. It explores the relationship of consumers and the products they buy. I wanted viewers to question the overt use of sexuality in advertising. I later explored a similar theme through product photography last semester.
This body of work I wanted to express what I know about strangers and friends by creating a voice for them through physical signs. I wanted viewers to see that everyone has something to say inside of them however many are not heard. I also hoped that the project would encourage civic debate about the roles and relationships we each play in society.
